I would rather embalm our memories
In deep crevices of my heart
I would play them like a song in a loop
But keep us a distance apart
For twin flames, set each other ablaze
With an unparalleled intensity of passion
But they are not meant to be together
Their love is meant to stay in an immortal fashion
I would thus immortalize our story in words
So that it never continues in reality
But no love felt more real
Living a sweet and bitter duality
I would not let my glass heart through
An ordeal of another betrayal
I would rather let it compose poetry
Striving for a trenchant portrayal.
